It checks whether the meaning stayed the same, whether the sentence is clear, and whether it meets the current level.
How it chooses the next step
The result may ask you to revise, move to the next level, skip a level you have already mastered, or complete the session.
What appears in your feedback
You receive notes on grammar, collocation, and naturalness, plus one suggestion for the next rewrite. Otonna does not provide a replacement answer during training.
Otonna evaluates this rewrite against its current training goal. It does not grade your overall English ability or predict an exam score.
How we check evaluation quality
Fixed cases cover failures, normal advancement, jumps, and completion. Every sentence goal includes a Level 5 completion and a close Level 4 example that must not be marked complete.

This is an internal development regression through the same evaluation flow used by the product. It is not independent validation and does not mean 100% accuracy on real user input.
Clear standards do not make every judgment correct
- A sentence can have several natural rewrites, and borderline judgments may vary.
- The evaluator only knows the source, practice goal, and current submission. It does not know everything you intended to say.
- One result cannot represent your writing ability or predict IELTS, TOEFL, or GRE performance.
- Results can vary, so regression checks acceptable outcome ranges rather than identical feedback wording.
You can question an evaluation
Mark any displayed evaluation fair or unfair. These signals help us find decisions that are too strict, too generous, or inconsistent.
Normal submissions are not kept as long-term history. Only when you actively rate a result do we retain that submission and feedback as a quality-review snapshot.
Otonna is an English sentence-training tool. Its feedback is practice guidance, not an official exam score or professional certification.
